Sorry about the random post today, I didn’t really have the time to mention anything website money related, but here is a great little tip for anyone that ever uses Amazon to shop online - and hopefully it will earn you some money as well.
Not many people know that Amazon has a kind of ‘cashback price promise’. It means that if you ever puchase an item from their website, which has dropped in price since the 30 days that you bought it, you will be able to re-claim the difference. It’s basically a nice little way of Amazon making sure that you don’t miss out on any of their bargains, if you had already paid full price for an item.
To take advantage of this opportunity simply log-in at the Amazon website, click on the link that says ‘View Orders Placed In The Last 6 Months’ and then you need to check to find out if the prices of the items that you have purchased in the last 30 days have dropped at all. If they have, click on the Help text link, then the Contact Us text link, then select Customer Service. Give a note of the order reference number from your original transaction, and then state that you would like to have a refund of the amount which the price of the product has dropped.
Amazon should hopefully refund the difference in price, and will pay you the money via the same way you paid for it on their website (debit/credit card etc).
